New Aerial Photography Shows Maidenhead On Track

A new video posted by the Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group is a fantastic compilation of recently received aerial photographs and video from local photographers.

Completed section of the Maidenhead Waterways Works

Maidenhead Waterways posted the video on their YouTube channel April 10th, 2017 to provide both an update on the on-going works in the town centre, and also to showcase the magnitude of the scheme and what has already been achieved. You can view the video by clicking here.

Greenford are performing these works on behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) who are delivering it as part of their Area Action Plan (AAP). Maidenhead Waterways have been championing the restoration of the town’s waterways for over a decade and have been able to finally see their plans come to fruition through RBWM’s implementation of their scheme.

Greenford commenced construction late 2015 and have since been working hard to deliver this complex project. Near completed sections of the waterway are already visible to passers by and local residents, however due to the nature of the works, the best way to fully appreciate all that has been done so far is to get a bird’s eye view. This is where the impressive work of local photography enthusiasts has been wonderful in helping to cast a wide view over the works as a whole and give a feel for how much has already gone into this scheme of regeneration.

Matthew Wilkinson, of Wilkinson Estates and Paulo Coll, AltaVista have been showcasing their aerial and drone photography skills via social media and focussing on the current Maidenhead waterways works.

These photographs not only demonstrate the magnitude and scale of the works but also show just how beautiful the regenerated areas already are. These photographs and more are included in Maidenhead Waterways’ progress video, visit their YouTube channel now to view.
