Glasshouse College, Stourbridge is an educational institution for young people with learning and behavioural difficulties and does a lot of good work in the local community and the wider West Midlands area. This good work is now being recognised as Glasshouse College have been shortlisted as finalists in the Education Category of the National Lottery Awards 2017!

Over the years Greenford Ltd have been proud supporters of Glasshouse College as well as the Ruskin Mill Trust (RMT). Greenford Ltd have performed several projects for Glasshouse College and RMT, most notably helping to deliver the third phase of their recent refurbishment project in 2016 with the resurfacing of the car park and performing canal bank and wall repair works  – click here to read all about the works and view the full gallery http://greenford.ltd.uk/special-projects/ 

Given their noble efforts in contributing to the lives of people living with learning and behavioural difficulties it would be wonderful if Glasshouse College won their category in these awards!

Glasshouse College offers over 145 places to young people with a wide range of complex learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties and includes both day and residential placements. Set within the heritage glassmaking district of Stourbridge, the college includes 46 acres of farm and woodlands. Glasshouse College offers a rich and varied curriculum with activities including traditional glassmaking, jewellery-making, land-based and traditional craft activities, animal husbandry, woodland management, bow-making, archery, mountain biking, catering, working a narrowboat, music, art and drama, with numeracy, communication and functional skills embedded throughout the day and residential provision.
