As seen on Channel 4's Grand Designs!
The Amphibious House in Marlow was the first of its kind in the UK. The house was designed to rise during a flood in its dock-like foundations. Foundations were dug to a depth of about four metres below average water level. This was then lined with solid reinforced concrete to create a dock, within which the concrete foundations could rise. The project was an impressive engineering feat and truly unique. We are proud to have been able to deliver the technical expertise involved to make this project happen.
