Greenford Ltd are immensely proud to be part of the Leicester Waterside project. This project aims to develop and transform the waterside area of Leicester, a previously neglected industrial area, into an emerging neighbourhood that incorporates leisure, residential and commercial space.
Greenford Ltd’s expertise was put to the test with the challenge of needing to use both land-based and water-borne plant equipment.
We were required to make improvements to the canal, a task which included masonry repairs, coping works and bank protection.
Extensive masonry repairs were undertaken and brick-coping was laid down. Pre-planted coir rolls were installed to extend the existing reed growth.
This project marks another substantial canal improvement for our stable.
We are delighted with the overall result and hope that the community of Leicester will enjoy this exciting new destination!
