In a display of Greenford's riparian capabilities we were pleased to complete towpath improvements in December 2020 as part of the "Quietways" scheme. The scheme is transforming over 16 miles of towpath between Paddington and West Drayton, working in partnership with Transport for London. The scheme is a direct result of feedback form users of the towpaths and it brings significant improvements; including better surfaces, wider paths, improved access points and more helpful signage, benefitting not only cyclists but the wide variety of visitors to our waterways.
Greenford was responsible for widening 2.5km of towpath with limited access. All access to the site was via waterborne craft. Our expertise in riparian works meant we were the obvious choice for this particularly tricky stretch of towpath.
