Greenford played an important part in the development of the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre at Worcester College, designed by the prestigious Niall McLaughlin Architects. We were responsible for the extension of the existing Lake to meet the impressive new Nazrin Shah Building, to create an attractive link between the structure and the College’s extensive and historic gardens. This also involved the installation a footbridge, edging and paving, a footpath, and all reinstatement works.
The focus of the project was to match the idyllic historic setting of Worcester College with an innovative new building. The project has been described as "timeless", "elegant" and "idyllic". This extraordinary project received a number of awards including a RIBA Award, a RIBA South Award and the RIBA South Building of the Year Award. We were honoured to be part of a team described as "a building team capable of the highest levels of craftsmanship" during the awards process.
“It has been a great experience working with the Greenford team. The Lake extension works have provided the Nazrin Shah Centre with an outstanding setting while also complementing the surrounding areas of the historic Worcester College’s award winning grounds. The exceptional service from Greenford in all areas from design to project management and installation made the on time delivery of this project possible, and to the highest standard.”
