Greenford have completed works on The Black Horse Inn in Great Durnford, an area within one of the richest archaeological landscapes in the country.
The team prepared the base levels of the building and outbuilding sites on the pub grounds, as well as the installation of a new drainage pipe along the length of the site.
The Black Horse Inn sits within an area with a shallow groundwater table, meaning any sub-level construction must be completed with the correct materials, structures and expertise.
Archaeologists were in place to monitor the excavation and sub-level works due to the historical nature of the location.
